Gift Art for ~!

He was so kind to gift me a subscription so I promised to paint him a little something in return

I know you wanted something similar to [link] with a bird, but I realise it's quite a bit different. I started out trying to, I swear! But my brain had other plans. And it turned out greener too. I hope you aren't too disappointed! D:

Skippable Rant

I have to stop relying on heavy contrasts to keep saving my hide and what are otherwise dull compositions/subjects. I realize now they are my comfort zone and my work may become repetitive fast if I keep this up. The whole, dark background, light subject deal. I do have several paintings lying around where I tried to break away from this, but I've found they were difficult to finish. I guess this means I just have to keep practicing! It might also do me good to try and use less saturated colours. Enough about that though! Less ranting, more painting, haha.

Next on my to-do list: Cerberus. A proper one this time. Hopefully. Anyway, just throwing it out there so I don't have any more excuses not to finish it.
